Dobogó Winery
Dobogó Winery is a family-run estate founded in 1995. Its vineyards span 5 hectares and are located on the volcanic soils of Mád, in what is considered the heart of the Tokaj wine region. The winery’s two owners, Izabella Zwack and winemaker Attila Domokos, share a common goal: to reveal Tokaj’s fresh, vibrant, and exciting side to Hungary and the world—not only through its renowned Aszú wines, but also with dry wines—while staying true to the region’s centuries-old winemaking traditions.
Dobogó Winery sees it as its mission to place Tokaj firmly back on the world wine map and to promote Furmint internationally as a native and uniquely expressive grape variety. Dobogó is the first and only Hungarian winery experimenting with Pinot Noir in Tokaj. Since its founding, the winery has earned numerous Hungarian and international accolades, trophies, and regional awards at prestigious wine competitions, including Decanter World Wine Awards Trophies, Top Wine at Pannon Bormustra, and Wine of the Year in Népszabadság’s Top 100 publication.
