The legend begins in 1942, when a young Don Julio González sees a once in a lifetime opportunity in tequila production. He didn't own much, but what he did possess was a dream and the singular devotion needed to bring it to life. After sharing his vision with a powerful local businessman he was granted a loan to create his first tequila distillery La Primavera. It was this unrelenting passion for excellence that inspired his creation of the world's first luxury tequila.
The original luxury tequila of choice in Mexico, Tequila Don Julio uses only the highest calibre, fully matured and ripened Blue Agave that has been hand-selected from the rich, clay soils of the Los Altos region of the state of Jalisco.
