Somlói Apátsági Winery
The small winery's vineyard was once owned by the Pannonhalma Abbey, and the locals still refer to it as the "Abbey Estate." So, it came naturally for the three young men who bought it a few years ago to choose the name Somló Abbey Winery. The wines are not created consciously but rather "instinctively." In the small cellar of the Somló wine region, there is no market research, no style planning, no "product pyramid"—the wines are dictated by nature. The excellent white wines are shaped by the terroir and the vintage, with the quality defined by the grapes used. The wines that result are undoubtedly true personalities. This year, the next vintage of Hilla is arriving, which once again is a white wine made from a blend of Hárslevelű, Juhfark, and Furmint. Finally, thanks to the craftsmanship of Tibor Fazekas and the Somló hill, wine lovers will be able to enjoy a genuine handcrafted Juhfark starting from mid-autumn!
